Pathway of Inner Righteousness

Psalms 5:8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 5 in context

Scripture Focus

8Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.
Psalms 5:8

Biblical Context

David asks the LORD to guide him in righteousness against enemies and to make the way ahead straight and clear. The request emphasizes trust in divine direction over fear.

Neville's Inner Vision

See the verse as a declaration of inner law. When you say 'Lead me, O LORD,' you are not petitioning an external deity apart from your mind; you are acknowledging the I AM that you are and naming the governor of your inner weather. The enemies are beliefs and fears that contend with your awareness of your true nature. To pray 'in thy righteousness' is to align with the righteousness that already resides as your essential state, not to acquire a new virtue. Therefore 'make thy way straight before my face' becomes a description of the clear path that arises when you accept that you are guided by the I AM. Practice: assume the vision of a straight, unhindered route, feel the certainty that no obstacle can persist while you dwell in this present state. Let the feeling be real in you—your thinking, imagination, and perception adjust to the assumption, and events follow the inner alignment. The world you perceive will adjust to reflect the inner order you have assumed.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, rest in the I AM presence. Declare I am led in righteousness, and visualize a straight, clear path opening before you.
