Inner Bride, King Within

Psalms 45:9-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 45 in context

Scripture Focus

9Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.
10Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;
11So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.
Psalms 45:9-11

Biblical Context

The lines describe the king's bride as greatly honored and beautiful, standing at the king's right hand. It invites the daughter to listen, forget her old people, and worship the king as Lord.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you, the king is not a distant sovereign but the I AM, the supreme I in whom all things awaken. The daughter and the queen are inner states of consciousness—dignity, beauty, authority—standing at the king's right hand as evidence of your true worth. To hear, to listen, to incline the ear is to align attention with this inner rule, to let go of old identities—the people and the house you once claimed—as you yield to the present you, the one who worships the king from within. When you do, the king will greatly desire your beauty because your life becomes a conscious invitation for the king to appear in form; he is thy Lord, and worship thou him is not external worship but the felt truth that you, as awareness, dwell in the royal state. This is the process of inner marriage: you ascend in consciousness, you serve the I AM, and your reality reflects that aliveness. Practice: assume the posture of the bride in the inner court, knowing you are already beloved, and let your inner king reign.

Practice This Now

Practice a brief inward ceremony: close your eyes, breathe, and declare, 'I am the beloved; the king is my Lord.' Feel the presence of the inner king at your right hand and dwell in that felt sense for a minute.
