Psalms 41:1-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The psalm speaks of blessing for the merciful and of God's deliverance and healing when one turns to mercy. It promises preservation and strength, even in illness, for the one who aligns with divine mercy.
Neville's Inner Vision
Blessing here is not a future event but a shift of your inner state. When you consider the poor, you are awakening the part of you that has given attention to lack and turning it toward abundance in consciousness. The line that the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble becomes your inner I AM reorganizing perception until aid is felt as present. The promise to preserve and keep alive translates to a steady sense of being sustained by awareness that never wanes. To be blessed upon the earth is to walk with a conviction that your world reflects your interior state. Strength upon the bed of languishing is the same as vigor in consciousness under strain, a healing of imagined limitation by the light of awareness. Saying be merciful unto me and heal my soul becomes a turning back to God within, releasing guilt and separating from fear. As you persist in this inner revision, you step out of trouble into the assurance that you are delivered, preserved, and renewed by the I AM.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and repeat I AM the preserved one, the I AM within. Feel the healing energy entering every part of you and carry that sensation as you go about your day.
