Let us read Psalm 36:5–6 as a map of consciousness. Mercy and faithfulness are not distant qualities but the very atmosphere of your awareness, dwelling above you in the heavens and extending until the clouds. When you imagine, you are seeing your inner state: mercy is the wind that never stops blowing through your mind, and faithfulness is the constancy of that wind, steady and present regardless of outer appearances. Righteousness is not a verdict imposed from outside but a majestic mountain within your being, solid and immovable, proclaiming that right perception and just response are built into your awareness. The great deep of judgments represents the depth of your inner decisions, the sea of choices that shape your experience; you need not fear them, for they are the natural activity of your consciousness. The verse closes with a declaration of preservation: God preserves both man and beast, which in your inner practice translates to the assurance that your entire life and energy is sustained by this divine pattern when you abide in it. Your task is to align with this inner order until it becomes your habitual feeling.
