Let their way be dark and slippery becomes: your path is illuminated as you refuse to dwell in fear; you invite the light to clear the way. In this reading, you are not asking some external force to act; you are becoming the operant I AM, and the outer scene responds to the activity of consciousness. The psalm is a map for how to hold a state until it manifests as your experience.
