Psalms 34:15-18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 34 in context

Scripture Focus

15The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
16The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
17The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
18The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Psalms 34:15-18

Biblical Context

God notices the righteous and hears their cries. He draws near to the brokenhearted and saves those with a contrite spirit.

Neville's Inner Vision

Let the verse be seen as a map of your inner atmosphere. The eyes of the LORD upon the righteous are the steady gaze of your I AM fixed on the state you choose. Your cry is not petition to a distant God but a signal from your inner self calling for a new feeling to match reality. The face of the LORD against evil is the dismissing of thoughts that don't belong to your nature; memories of lack fade as you revise. The righteous cry, and the LORD hears; this is your awareness responding to itself, delivering you from trouble as you hold to the feeling of being already whole. The LORD is near to the broken heart; this is the nearness of your I AM to the tenderness you welcome into awareness and forgive.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes for a moment and assume you are already delivered; feel the relief as if the problem is dissolving, then declare, 'I am heard, I am saved, I am whole' and rest in that state.
