The verse invites us to recognize that joy is the natural effect of a fixed state of consciousness: the trust in the Holy Name, which Neville would equate with the I AM. When you claim that the Holy Name is your own awareness—the I AM you are—your heart rejoices because you have refused the illusion of separation. Trust is not a future condition but a present assumption: you are already held by a divine awareness that bears your life as its own expression. In this light, the 'holy name' becomes not an outward call but the inner recognition that you are always within God’s presence. The movement of the heart toward joy is the visible sign that you have accepted this truth. Practice involves returning to that state of being: dwell in the feeling that the I AM is your trust, revise any doubt as though it were a dream, and let the feelings of safety, gratitude, and delight rise from that acceptance.
