Inner Shield And Salvation Psalm 3:3-8
Psalms 3:3-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The psalm presents God as a shield, the speaker's head lifted in confidence, and salvation belonging to the LORD, securing safety amid perceived foes.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider the psalm as a map of consciousness rather than a report of external events. 'Thou art a shield for me' is the recognition that I AM—the unmovable awareness within me—being shielded by the divine. 'My glory, and the lifter up of mine head' signals that true dignity and confidence arise as I awaken to that awareness, not by outward triumphs. When the voice cries to the LORD and is heard from his holy hill, understand that the hill is your higher mind—your vantage point from which the world is seen differently. Sleep and wake are the rhythms of this inner life: rest is trust; waking is the moment of renewed assurance that the LORD sustains you. The threat of thousands vanishes when you refuse to identify with fear and instead identify with the I AM that has already resolved all things. Arise and save me becomes a statement of inner action—rise in faith, let the divine power address every sense of attack. Salvation belongs to the LORD; the blessing is your natural state when you dwell in consciousness that God is present here and now.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit with eyes closed and declare, I AM shielded by God; my head is lifted in grace. Hold that feeling for a few breaths, revising fear into faith that the Lord sustains me.
