Biblical Context
Psalm 22:22-23 speaks of declaring God's name to one's brethren and praising Him in the midst of the congregation; those who fear the LORD are invited to glorify Him.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this psalm, the I AM speaks to its own brethren—the thoughts and feelings that circle the self—declaring the name of God and inviting praise in the inner assembly. The congregation is the mind's gathering of beliefs, memories, and sensations brought into alignment by attention. To fear the LORD becomes a discipline of reverence toward the I AM within, and to be the seed of Jacob/Israel is to identify with the lineage of consciousness that holds the truth of that Presence. When you declare thy name, you are not appealing to a distant deity; you are re-scripting your inner world so that the divine name becomes a living principle in awareness. The act of praise in the midst of the congregation functions as a mental atmosphere created by steady gratitude and trust, a sanctuary where God is recognized as the I AM and expressed through you. As you practice, your inner life reorganizes around Presence, and outward circumstances reflect this internal alignment.
Practice This Now
Assume you are already in the inner congregation and declare God's name to your inner brethren. Feel the Presence as the I AM within you, and let your praise rise until your outer life mirrors this inner alignment.
