Biblical Context
Psalm 2:9-10 speaks of breaking opposition with a rod of iron and urging rulers to be wise. In Neville's view, these are inner states where the mind's king and judges must align with divine truth.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of the rod of iron not as a weapon from without but as the unwavering policy of consciousness. When I, the I AM within, stand with clear, unyielding attention, I break the stubborn beliefs that claim power over me. The 'potter's vessel' shatters into new form, giving way to a living vessel of discernment shaped by wisdom. The line 'Be wise now therefore, ye kings; be instructed' points not to rulers of nations but to the inner authorities—the creative faculties within me that decide what I permit in thought and life. External noise loses its grip when the inner throne is occupied by understanding; the Kingdom of God arrives through alignment with divine order, not force. Practically, I assume the state of the sovereign I AM, ruler of my inner world, and invite all inner judges to acknowledge this truth. Old scenes of limitation revise themselves as I feel the reality of this seated wisdom.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and seat yourself on a throne of awareness. Declaring, 'I am the king within; I govern my thoughts with wisdom,' imagine the iron rod in your hand dissolving the old patterns into luminous dust.
