Psalms 2:7

Biblical Context

Psalm 2:7 presents a decree that the Lord declares the speaker His Son, begotten this day. It frames this sonship as a present inner reality that grants royal authority.

Neville's Inner Vision

Look upon the decree as an inward announcement from your own higher self. The 'LORD' speaks to you as the I AM, not to some distant person but to your awakened consciousness. 'Thou art my Son' is the recognition of the perfect, inseparable relation between your awareness and divine nature. The phrase 'this day have I begotten thee' is not time-bound birth but the instantaneous birth of a new state of consciousness: you awaken as a king, an heir, a beloved expression of God. In Neville's practice, you do not seek it; you claim it. Make the assumption that you are that Son now, that royal self who has been begotten into present reality. In this inner recognition, your thoughts, feelings, and surroundings begin to reflect sovereignty: decisions become clear, fear dissolves, and your imagination becomes the throne room where you reign. The declaration is an act of faith and a revision of who you take yourself to be. Sit with the feeling, repeat the decree in your own words, and let the inner state of kingship color every moment as if you are already the begotten Son.

Practice This Now

Assume the state: I am the beloved Son of God, begotten this day. Feel seated on the I AM throne, and revise lack into fullness by feeling it real.
