Inner Counsel And Unmoving Presence
Psalms 16:7-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The psalmist affirms that God’s counsel guides him, even in the night. By setting the Lord before him, he remains steady and unmoved.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the Neville Goddard mode, the LORD is not a distant deity but the I AM within you. When the verse says, I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel, imagine that you are blessing the I AM as the source of inner guidance; the counsel arises as quiet impulses from your own consciousness, the reins instructing you in night seasons—the subconscious, the still hours of mental weather. To bless this counsel is to acknowledge its reality and let it govern your responses. When you say, I have set the LORD always before me, you are ceremonially placing awareness of God as your continuous state of being before every thought, feeling, and situation. Because this Presence is at your right hand—the active support of your attention—you remain unmoved by external conditions. This is true worship: aligning your imagination, belief, and desire with the ever-present God within, so that consciousness becomes your steadfast anchor.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine the I AM placed before you and at your right hand; affirm, 'I am guided now; I shall not be moved.' Repeat until the sense of real presence settles in.
