Psalms 143:11-12

Biblical Context

Psalm 143:11-12 asks for revival by God's righteousness and deliverance from trouble, then for mercy to remove those who afflict the soul. It closes by affirming the speaker's servanthood to God.

Neville's Inner Vision

Quicken me, O LORD is the cry to awaken your entire being to the God-state within. For thy name's sake means act in accord with the I AM, the Divine Name in you, so your deliverance comes from within. For thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble translates to letting the rightness of Being pull you from inner distress. And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies invites mercy to dissolve the antagonistic thoughts and habits that oppose peace. And destroy all them that afflict my soul expands to dissolving every mental state that aches or fears; see them as illusions fading before the reality of I AM. For I am thy servant affirms your identification as the Lord's servant—the I AM alive within. Practically, assume the end-state now, let the imagination do the work, and watch your inner landscape reorganize until the outside world reflects the new order of your mind.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and silently declare, 'I am quickened by the Lord; I am delivered by the righteousness of God.' Feel the density of trouble lift as the mind settles into the I AM; let mercy dissolve the inner enemies and the soul rests in the servant's consciousness.
