Biblical Context
Psalm 14:1-3 speaks of fools who deny God, calling them corrupt and unable to do good. The psalmist says God looks down to see who understands and seeks Him, but all have turned aside.
Neville's Inner Vision
Verse 1 names a state of consciousness: the heart that says 'There is no God' is a deliberate posture of separation, a mental fool who forgets the I AM within. The outward corruption described is but the inner movement of a mind estranged from its source. When the LORD looks down from heaven to see who understands and seeks God, He is the ever-present awareness testing the soul to acknowledge Its own divinity. If all have gone aside, if none do good, the message is not punishment but a reflection of a belief system that identifies with lack and separation. Neville would teach that God is the I AM present in you now, not distant or external. The remedy is simple: refuse the story of separation and assume the truth of your oneness with God. Repeat and feel, 'There is God within me now; I understand Him; I seek Him.' As the imagination embraces that truth, the inner weather shifts, and actions align with a life that seemed impossible from the old standpoint. The inner vision becomes the outer scene, and what once seemed bad becomes the refined substance of good.
Practice This Now
Assume the truth: 'There is God within me now; I understand Him and seek Him.' Feel that presence as a warm light in the chest and let it steer your choices today.
