To the inner listener, these lines are not about distant places but about states of consciousness. 'In the ways of the LORD' means living by the inner law of imagination, aligning your thoughts with the divine I AM and letting its glory reveal itself as your own awareness. The 'glory of the LORD' is the radiance of your true self when you stop flinging images of lack or fear against the screen of consciousness and instead center in the calm assurance that you are the I AM. 'Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly' teaches that elevation in consciousness does not disdain humility; the 'lowly' is the readiness to be redirected by awareness. The proud 'knoweth afar off' because they insist on separateness, on a self that fights for control. In the middle of trouble, the verse promises revival; in your experience, revival is a shift in feeling—an inner summons that a higher order is now at work. When you imagine yourself held by the right hand of God, you are practicing the very act of God saving you—by your own assumption and feeling it real.
