Scripture Focus

6Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.
7He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.
Psalms 135:6-7

Biblical Context

Psalm 135:6-7 states that the LORD does what pleases Him in heaven, on earth, and in the seas, including the weather; He releases vapors, lightning for rain, and winds from His treasuries.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the LORD not as a distant ruler but as the I AM within you—the awareness that chooses and orders every scene. The psalm presents the inner governor who pleases to act in heaven, on earth, and in the seas, which in your case translates to the inner realms of thought, feeling, and belief becoming outward conditions. The vapors, lightning, and wind are symbols of mental states you can cultivate: vapor rising as your clear desire rising from the depths of consciousness; lightning as decisive insight; wind as the shifting tone of circumstance moving according to your inner movement. When you acknowledge this sovereignty as your own, you understand that you are not at the mercy of chance but the author of your world. Your job is not to beg or perform rites but to align with that inner will, to dwell in the I AM and feel the wish already realized. Then the outer weather shifts to reflect your inner order, just as the verse describes the LORD’s provision in creation.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly in the I AM and assume the wish is already true; dwell in that feeling for 3–5 minutes, letting the inner weather shift until you sense the outer circumstances aligning with your decree.
