Within this psalm the name of the LORD is not a distant title but your living I AM—the eternal awareness that never ages. The memorial of the LORD through generations is the inner memory of that I AM in you, kept fresh as you continually return to the recognition that you are always seen by divine presence. To say the LORD will judge his people is to mean your inner discernment weighs your thoughts, words, and deeds by your true self, not by an external tribunal. The phrase about repenting toward his servants is the soul’s natural movement to shift, revise, and return to alignment with the I AM. In Neville’s view, God’s judgment is the correction of your inner atmosphere, clearing doubt so the inner light can shine clearer.
