Oil and Dew Within
Psalms 133:2-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Psalms 133 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
It presents blessing as a flowing sign: sacred oil on the head running down to the garments, and dew descending on Zion, signaling life and divine favor.
Neville's Inner Vision
Remember, the oil is a state of consciousness you consciously assume about yourself. The head stands for your central I AM, and the oil running down Aaron’s beard to the skirts of his garments is the blessing saturating every aspect of your life—the outer form touched by inner divine assurance. The dew of Hermon, descending on Zion, is the felt freshness of awareness that blankets your every moment with clarity, renewal, and life. When you see them as inner movements, you are not asking God to bless you; you are recognizing that you are already blessed in the very act of awareness. The I AM commands the blessing when your inner state remains harmonious, undivided, and steadfast in love. Thus life everlasting is not a distant future event but the perpetuity of consciousness aware of its oneness with God. Your job is to revise your self-image until the oil and dew are your habitual experience, a continuous anointing that renders every constraint as temporary.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes, assume the I AM as your own awareness, feel the oil of consciousness flowing from your head through your body, and sense a cool dew covering your life. Stay in that feeling until it becomes your natural state.
