Biblical Context
God swears to David that his throne will endure through his descendants if they keep covenant; Zion is chosen as God's dwelling, a place of rest where blessings, salvation, and joy abound, and the kingly authority will flourish.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the inner realm of your consciousness, the LORD is the I AM you are. The throne signifies a state of pure awareness from which you move and act. When you keep my covenant and my testimony in mind, your children—the thoughts, habits, and days that rise from you—will sit on that throne forever. Zion, chosen for habitation, becomes the inner sanctuary you cultivate by stillness and fidelity; this is my rest forever here you dwell, for I have desired it. I will abundantly bless her provision; your inner supply becomes the outward circumstances of life. I will clothe her priests with salvation; your inner faculties—discernment, courage, mercy—are clothed with salvation, and your saints cry aloud for joy within. There will I make the horn of David to bud; the power and authority of your Christ within begin to awaken and shine. Enemies will I clothe with shame; but on the self shall the crown flourish as you realize you are the anointed now. The outer world changes as the inner state assumes its rightful throne.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly and assume you are seated on the throne of your life in Zion, feeling rest and abundance as your present reality; say to yourself I AM and let this kingship drop into your body and day.
