Read Psalms 124 in context

Scripture Focus

6Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.
7Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
8Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
Psalms 124:6-8

Biblical Context

Psalm 124:6-8 speaks of God's protection and deliverance. Our souls are rescued, the snare is broken, and our help comes from the LORD who made heaven and earth.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, this Psalm is the language of your inner state. The LORD you bless is the I AM within you, not an external master, and to bless is to acknowledge reality as you create it. When you feel yourself not given as prey to any ‘teeth’ of limitation, you free the mind from what binds you. Your soul becomes the bird that escapes the snare of fear as you stop identifying with the trap. The snare is broken when you accept that you are the One who set the act in motion—your consciousness choosing a different ending. Our help is in the name of the LORD, the awareness that made heaven and earth, the very power you presently contain. Psalm 124 invites you to trust this providence and to dwell in gratitude, knowing that liberation is already yours in the imagination you persist in. By assuming the fulfilled state—deliverance, safety, and freedom—your inner environment shifts and the outer scene follows.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Close your eyes, repeat 'I AM the Lord of my life,' and feel the release as the snare dissolves. Visualize the birds flying free and the outer scene reflecting your inner state.
