Within Jerusalem's Gates
Psalms 122:2-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse describes standing inside the gates of Jerusalem and a city tightly bound in unity. It points to inner harmony as the foundation of external peace.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the I AM of your consciousness, Jerusalem is the inner state where all parts of yourself gather, and the gates are the boundaries of your attention through which imagination must move. When you imagine yourself standing within these gates, you are naming and claiming that your inner city is already built, compact together, and at peace. The external world then follows the pattern of this inner unity because imagination creates reality. The psalm invites you to cease the chasing of appearances and rest in the certainty of your own wholeness. By performing a simple revision—feeling the city already standing within you—you align your thoughts, feelings, and relationships with that order. This is not coercive control over others but a rediscovery that you, as I AM, are the architect and builder of your inner world and its outward reflection.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine standing inside the gates of your inner Jerusalem; feel the compact unity of the city in your chest and revise any sense of separation. Repeat: 'I am the city built together; I am peace within,' until it feels real.
