Scripture Focus

121I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors.
122Be surety for thy servant for good: let not the proud oppress me.
123Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.
124Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.
125I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.
126It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law.
127Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.
128Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.
Psalms 119:121-128

Biblical Context

The psalmist declares that justice is enacted and asks not to be oppressed. He pleads for mercy and guidance to understand the statutes.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you, the I AM declares that you have enacted judgment and justice in your own consciousness. Do not abandon yourself to the dream of oppressors, for the I AM within guarantees protection when you stand in that state. To be 'surety for thy servant' is to assume the state that good is assured by your faith in the mercy of the I AM. Your eyes may seem to fail, yet the longing for righteousness is the inner light the word of truth awakens. Deal with thy servant according to mercy, and teach me thy statutes: ask the I AM to instruct your mind in the laws of consciousness. You are a servant of the divine, and by asking for understanding you acknowledge your oneness with the testimonies of truth. It is time for the Lord to work because appearances show the old law void; yet the inner law is active, and you love the commandments above gold because you know their value as inner order. Therefore you esteem all precepts and hate the false ways that obscure truth.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Assume the state 'I AM the righteous judge now' and feel protection as real. Revise any sense of oppression by silently affirming 'Mercy governs my life' until it anchors as feeling.
