Scripture Focus

13Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me.
14The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.
Psalms 118:13-14

Biblical Context

The verse describes pressure aimed to trip you up, yet the Lord helps. He becomes your strength, your song, and your salvation.

Neville's Inner Vision

Pressed and thrust by appearances are not you, but a call to awaken the inner state. You are not at the mercy of the world; you are the I AM who witnesses the world. When you feel, 'Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall,' acknowledge the impulse to doubt and gently affirm, 'The LORD helped me' as your present fact. See the LORD as strength and song—an ever-present faculty of consciousness, not a distant rescuer. Salvation then becomes the moment you align with the truth of your nature, the unchanging awareness behind every image. The events of life recede into their proper place once you dwell in that I AM: you are supported, you are steady, you are carried by the inner melody that is your true song. Understood thus, every pressure becomes a teacher, urging you to trust, to imagine, and to dwell in the realization that you are already saved by the awareness you are.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe, and assume the state of the I AM now: 'I am upheld by the LORD within me.' Feel strength rising as a song in your chest and rest there for a minute, letting the sense of salvation anchor your day.
