Biblical Context
Psalm 113:1-3 calls us to bless and praise the LORD continually, blessing His name from dawn to dusk. It portrays praise as an ongoing inner alignment with the divine Presence.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your awareness is the LORD; praise is an inner movement of the I AM, not an external act. The verse reveals that the true servants of the LORD are states of consciousness perfectly aligned with divine being, and that blessing the NAME is an acknowledgment of your own essential identity. When you affirm 'Blessed be the name of the LORD' and 'from this time forth and forevermore,' you are re-scripting your inner weather—an ongoing, unbroken alignment with the I AM that knows no beginning or end. The rising of the sun and its setting is the metaphor for the constant cycle of attention you give to your inner kingdom: at dawn you awaken to the truth that the LORD's name is the fountain of all life; at dusk you continue to honor that same truth. The practice is not about outward ritual but a shift of being: you imagine or feel yourself as the one who is always praising, praising as the very life of your mind. In Neville's terms, you are not petitioning a separate god but returning to your own consciousness, the awareness that creates phenomena when you dwell there.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and assume the feeling that 'I AM' is the LORD within me now. Breathe with that awareness and, for a few minutes, feel every thought blessed and informed by this inner praise from dawn to dusk.
