Inner Praise and Deliverance
Psalms 108:3-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Psalms 108 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The psalm speaks of praising God openly among people and nations, then acknowledging God's mercy above the heavens and truth to the clouds, and finally requesting deliverance by the right hand. It moves from praise to a plea grounded in those inner attributes, awaiting an inner answer.
Neville's Inner Vision
I read Psalm 108:3–6 as a scene in which the whole world is a reflection of your inner state. The speaker says, I will praise thee among the people, and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations, which means you consent to let your I AM shine through every circumstance. Mercy, described as great above the heavens, is the boundless compassion of your awareness—not a distant mercy but the living energy of consciousness. Truth, reaching unto the clouds, is your decisive conviction that your inner state remains true everywhere, regardless of outward form. Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; and thy glory above all the earth, is the rising of your inner sight above limitation. That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and answer me, becomes the recognition that deliverance and answered prayer occur as you dwell in a certain state. The beloved is you, the completed self; the right hand is the power of assumption. The entire psalm is your consciousness, choosing and becoming its own fulfillment.
Practice This Now
Assume the state, 'I am delivered,' now. In a quiet moment, feel the right hand of power upholding you and sense your prayer answered as your I AM speaks through you.
