Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse sets forth a steadfast heart that will sing praises to God and awaken the inner instruments early in the day.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this psalm I hear the I AM speaking through your consciousness: your heart is fixed, not by effort but by alignment with the divine I. To say, I will sing and give praise, even with my glory, is to acknowledge that your entire being—will, memory, imagination and glory—has chosen a victorious stance. Worship here is not outward display but a decision of consciousness to dwell in gratitude and assurance. Awake, psaltery and harp suggests the inner faculties—imagination, memory, and creative will—being awakened to perform your praise. The call to awaken early is a call to start your day with this sovereign state, to rise from doubt before it forms and to let the inner music accompany your thoughts. When you inhabit this fixed state, you do not plead for change; you declare it, and the world yields to the vibration of your inner praise. Remember: God is I AM, the awareness that never rests; your job is to maintain that awareness and let your life echo the song of a grateful heart.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes, rest in the I AM and fix your heart there; imagine awakening your inner psaltery and harp, then declare, "I am awake and praising now," feeling the reality of that state as present.
