Fixed Heart, Joyful Praise
Psalms 108:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Psalms 108 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse expresses a heart fixed in devotion, resolved to praise God with steadfast confidence. It acknowledges inner glory as part of that praise.
Neville's Inner Vision
Picture the verse as a mirror of your own inner state. When I say God, I mean the I AM that you are, the awareness behind every thought. The heart that is fixed is not a mere emotion but a fixed posture of consciousness—one that refuses to waver into fear or doubt. In this posture, you choose to sing and give praise, not to please an external deity, but to align your entire being with the reality you intend to live. Your glory is your inner radiance, your sense of purpose, your creative identity; when you praise, you do not add to God, you awaken more of your own divine nature. Therefore, the praise is a renewal of vision: you see yourself as whole, capable, and blessed, and that inner state shapes experiences outside. By insisting the heart remains fixed, you dwell in the assumption that your world reflects your inner certainty. The moment you hold that certainty, you begin to live as the singer who has already received the thing you seek.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, place your hand on your chest, and repeat My heart is fixed in the I AM; I am singing now as one with all I seek. Feel the inner radiance as if it were already yours.
