Biblical Context
It declares a vow to mercy and judgment, choosing wise, pure living. It also sets clear boundaries against deceit, slander, and unworthy company, to keep the heart faithful.
Neville's Inner Vision
This Psalm offers a blueprint for ruling your inner state from the I AM, not from circumstance. Sing of mercy and judgment becomes an inner harmony where awareness blesses and corrects itself. When you say you will walk within your house with a perfect heart, you are stating that your inner residence is orderly by assumption, a state you can occupy now. To set no wicked thing before mine eyes is to refuse to entertain any image that conflicts with your divine self-image. The froward heart departs from me—this is the recognition that a belief in separation leaves your being; you turn and ignore it by choosing to dwell with the faithful of the land, those who walk in a perfect way, for such companionship is a vibrational alignment. The decree to destroy the wicked means you release every habit, fear, or thought that would corrupt your inner city. By keeping your eyes on truth and mercy, you re-create your environment as your state of consciousness. Thus Psalm 101 becomes a practical manual for governance: imagine, revise, and feel it real until your outer life reflects your inner order.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you are the perfect ruler of your inner house; envision the inhabitants walking in wisdom, with no deceit; feel the reality of a clean, faithful mind.
