Biblical Context
Keep wisdom and discretion before your eyes; with them you walk safely, sleep sweet, and rest in the Lord as your confidence and guide.
Neville's Inner Vision
All instruction in the verse is a description of your inner posture. Keep sound wisdom and discretion as a steady inner sight, and realize you already possess the commanding presence of the I AM. The eyes spoken of are the direction of your consciousness; when you dwell in this inner habit you walk your path safely, for your foundation is alignment with truth—the life of your soul and grace about your neck. Sleep becomes sweet not because the world changes at night, but because your mind rests in a steady awareness that fears are appearances in consciousness, not facts in being. Do not fear sudden fear or the desolation of the wicked, for the Lord is thy confidence; your foot is kept from being taken as you refuse to identify with danger and instead align with the divine pattern already sustaining you. Imagine your inner guardian guiding every step; claim this reality now, and watch your world harmonize with it.
Practice This Now
Assume the verse is true in your present; fix your attention on inner wisdom as your guide, and revise fear by feeling the Lord is your confidence while you picture a radiant compass directing your steps.
