Biblical Context
Proverbs 28:21 warns that showing favoritism for a small reward is unrighteous; a person will sin for the sake of a morsel.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, this verse declares that to respect persons for a morsel is not good; the hunger for a crumb can drive one to transgress. In the Neville frame, the 'bread' is the token of worldly reward that tempts the mind to separation. Whenever you entertain a privileged stance, you awaken a belief that some have more value than others, and justice becomes compromised. Yet the I AM within you is the sole governor of your life; recognize that all seeming others are you pushed outward as images of your own consciousness. When you revise this state and refuse to trade integrity for gain, you invite justice to flow freely. Imagination creates reality, so dwell in the inner vision of impartiality where every being is one with you in divine life. Let your thoughts align with wholeness, and your choices will reflect that unity—righteousness and accountability become natural expressions of the I AM, not conditions imposed from the world.
Practice This Now
Assume the inner state of impartial justice now: say, 'I am the I AM; all are one, and no favor disturbs my justice.' Feel that unity until it is real.
