Read Proverbs 27 in context

Scripture Focus

23Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.
Proverbs 27:23

Biblical Context

Proverbs 27:23 invites you to know the state of your flocks and tend your herds with mindful, practical attention.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you, the flock and the herd are your thoughts, beliefs, and desires—inner resources you must steward. To be diligent is to recognize that you are the I AM who notices, imagines, and bears responsibility for what you accept as real. When you survey the state of thy flocks, you ask: what dominant belief governs my life right now? What feeling am I feeding with attention? To look well to thy herds is to attend to your inner habits, moods, and memories with unwavering discrimination, not anxious strain. The outer world is but an echo of your inner state; wealth and provision follow the alignment of your imagination with the truth that you are the I AM. If you discover lack, revise it at the level of consciousness: I know the state of my inner flocks, and I am abundance now. Remain in the state of having, allow the feeling of sufficiency to saturate you, and observe how circumstances bend to your revised self.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, assume the role of the I AM guardian over your inner flocks, and declare I know the state of my inner flocks and I am abundance now. Then dwell in the feeling that all needs are met.
