Biblical Context
Proverbs 21:10 presents a mind ruled by malevolent intent that desires harm. In that inner climate, the person sees neighbors with no grace.
Neville's Inner Vision
To dwell in the line 'the soul of the wicked desireth evil' is to notice that you are perceiving through a state of separation. The wicked mind seeks to harm because it imagines itself in lack and grievance; yet this is not an accusation but a choice of consciousness. When you identify with the I AM that you are, you discover that 'neighbor' is not a separate object to overcome but a mirror of your own inner weather. If you insist on evil as the ruling desire, you will find no favor in your eyes for anyone, including yourself; your inner disfavor repels the world. The healing is simple: change the state by assuming the opposite, the opposite feeling being the truth of your I AM. Adopt the posture of mercy, see the other as a favored child of your own being, and the world will reflect that revised state. Imagination is the instrument by which you draft reality; so dwell in the feeling that love is now your neighborhood and mercy is the air you breathe. As you revise, your outer life follows into grace.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, relax, and revise the scene with a person you resent. Imagine them smiling at you and feel the warmth as if it were already true.
