Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
When you seriously welcome wisdom, pay attention to it. Pursue understanding as a treasure, and you gain reverence for God and knowledge of Him.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here the scripture does not command you to chase an external teacher, but to awaken your own inner ear. The words you are asked to receive are states of consciousness; the commandments are your guiding beliefs stored in the heart. When you orient your attention toward wisdom, you are nourishing a mood of attention that attracts the right experiences. Your listening is a turning of the mind toward the Inner Teacher; your heart’s understanding is the alignment of feeling with truth. The act of seeking her as silver is the disciplined valuation of wisdom, not a quest for dull knowledge but for the spark that reveals the I AM behind all things. As you persist in this inner search, you “find the knowledge of God” as your awareness of God—your own perfect comprehension of the divine I AM. The fear of the LORD becomes the living reverence that arises when your consciousness is aligned with truth, not a fear of punishment but the secure knowing of presence. In short: wisdom comes to the awakened self.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the state of wisdom you seek: I already know and understand God. Feel the inner listening heart confirming truth and let that treasure guide your day.
