Wealth and Inner Kinship

Proverbs 19:4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Proverbs 19 in context

Scripture Focus

4Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour.
Proverbs 19:4

Biblical Context

Wealth tends to attract outward friends, but genuine neighborliness comes from inner life. Poverty can separate one from neighbors.

Neville's Inner Vision

As Neville would say, the verse is not about people in the street but about the state of your own consciousness. Wealth is not 'out there' but the vibration you inhabit; when you assume abundance, your inner life becomes a magnet drawing companions who resonate with that same abundance. The 'many friends' are the beings your inner sense of plenty invites into your field, not separate souls you encounter by chance. Conversely, the 'poor' represents a lack within, a belief that you are cut off from the vitality that joins hearts. To revise, do not chase friends or fortune; adjust your imagine-being to the I AM that supplies all relation and resources. Speak and feel from the sense of already having, and notice how your surroundings begin to reflect unity, rather than division. See others as extensions of your inner kinship; when you dwell in the perception of fullness, neighbors rise around you as natural expressions of your inner state.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: sit quietly, close your eyes, and imagine your social field as a warm circle. Feel the presence of friends already with you, responding with love and openness. Keep repeating, 'I am abundance; I connect with all in harmony,' and let the feeling of real companionship flood your body.
