Inner Justice and Reward

Proverbs 13:21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Proverbs 13 in context

Scripture Focus

21Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed.
Proverbs 13:21

Biblical Context

The verse contrasts outcomes: the wicked seem to be pursued by trouble, while the righteous are repaid with good.

Neville's Inner Vision

Verse 13:21 presents two currents in the soul: a pursuing energy for wrongdoing and a reward that comes to the just. In the Neville Goddard view, evil pursues sinners not as a punishment from God but as the inner atmosphere one holds in thought and feeling. The I AM within you has no pursuer; it is simply awareness, and any sense of pursuit arises from the belief that you are separate from your good. When you identify with the feeling of being righteous—complete, worthy, loved—the outer world rearranges to reflect that inner state. The good you seek is not earned by rules outside you, but drawn forth by conviction that you are already repaid. So you train the imagination to dwell in the completed state: see yourself surrounded by blessings, hear the favorable outcomes, feel the gratitude of one who has received. Persist in this inner cinema, and the law, which is your own consciousness, will translate it into circumstances that echo your inner truth.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled: you are already the righteous and good is your natural return. Hold that feeling for a short while, revise any doubt, and watch patterns begin to align.
