Inner Righteousness in Proverbs

Proverbs 11:19-21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Proverbs 11 in context

Scripture Focus

19As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.
20They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.
21Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
Proverbs 11:19-21

Biblical Context

The verses show that living in righteousness leads to life, while pursuing evil ends in death. They state that the crooked heart is an abomination to the Lord, but the upright are His delight and the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

Neville's Inner Vision

These lines are a map of consciousness, not external judgment. Righteousness is a settled state of awareness that tends life toward you; when you identify with being upright in heart, life unfolds with creative ease. The pursuit of evil is the mind clinging to fear, separation, and projection, draining energy and making death a self-fulfilling dream. The abomination spoken of the froward heart points to interior posture that blocks the fullness of life, while the upright invite divine delight into every action. The promise that the wicked shall not escape punishment and the seed of the righteous will be delivered points to the enduring law of your consciousness: your future follows your present assumption. Persist in the I AM, and outer conditions yield to the inner state, even where seeming collective forces appear to bind you.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling that you are upright in your way right now and feel it real for several breaths; revise any fear or lack by affirming, I am the I AM, upright and delivered.
