Neville's Inner Vision

Read as Neville would, the scene is not a distant history but an inner state. Being found in fashion as a man is not the external garment but your current self-image; to humble yourself is to yield the stubborn sense of self to a higher, immutable I AM. Obedience unto death, even the death of the cross, is the final surrender of personal will to the divine impulse that already governs you in principle. The cross then becomes a symbol of the old self dying so that the true you—endowed with power and truth—may arise. When you assume this inward posture, you are not acting out of punishment but out of discovery: you awaken to a consciousness that is already complete and only requires your consent to actualize. The practice is to imagine you are that inner law speaking through you, and to revise any resistant desire until obedience feels natural and effortless. Persist, and the I AM within quietly manifests outwardly as new choices, healing, and alignment with a purpose greater than the ego.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine you are the I AM in human form, being obedient to the divine will; repeat 'I am obedient to the divine will' until it feels real, then choose one small action today that reflects that obedience.
