Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul testifies that God is his witness to his deep longing for all the believers, born from Christ-like compassion.
Neville's Inner Vision
Seeing Paul’s note through the I AM is to hear that the entire line is about your inner state. God is my record means the I AM within bears witness to the warmth you feel toward others. The ‘bowels of Jesus Christ’ is not a place but the womb of Christ-consciousness—the sacred center in you where affection becomes real. Your longing for others signals that you have already entered true communion in spirit. When you rest in that inner mood, you awaken the truth that all beings share the same life, the same I AM. Begin from this present state: assume you are already in loving fellowship with those you care for, and feel the witness of God confirming it. The more you stay in that feeling, the more your outer world aligns with unity and love. This is Neville’s method: revise your mental state until the inner experience of kinship becomes your daily life, not a future hope but a present certainty.
Practice This Now
Assume you are already in deep, Christ-like fellowship with the others. Sit quietly and repeat, 'I am one with all in the bowels of Christ; God bears witness to my love.' Then visualize their faces softened, their eyes meeting yours, as if you already share this harmony.
