In The Bond Of Grace

Philippians 1:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Philippians 1 in context

Scripture Focus

7Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.
Philippians 1:7

Biblical Context

Paul says he thinks of them warmly because they are in his heart; even in his bonds, they share in the gospel’s grace. The verse reveals that true partnership is an inner unity of consciousness, not mere circumstance.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice that Paul speaks from a state of consciousness rather than a prison. When he says he has you in his heart, he is naming the I AM that holds all beings in a single orbit of awareness. The bonds are not merely chains; they symbolize any limiting sense you entertain about yourself. In the defence and confirmation of the gospel, the gospel is the good news you affirm within your own awareness—your unshakable truth that you are one with the Christ within. Therefore, you and they are partakers of grace because grace is the nature of your shared I AM, not a grant from an external friend. The true partnership is unity of state: when you imagine them free in your heart, you are aligning with the same creative presence that causes the gospel to take form. Your inner bonds can be dissolved by realizing you already stand in the light of grace; the appearances of separation dissolve as you hold the vision of oneness and defend it with steady faith.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, assume you are already one with them in grace, and feel the I AM uniting you; repeat a simple line like I am one with all in grace until it feels real.
