Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul states that for him, living means embracing Christ, while dying would be gain. This verse frames life as an inner alignment with Christ.
Neville's Inner Vision
Viewed through the inner vision, Philippians 1:21 announces a state of consciousness rather than a schedule of events. To me to live is Christ becomes a declaration that the I AM, the Christ within, is the constant agent of all experience. Living is not merely acting outwardly but dwelling in that Christ atmosphere, a state of awareness that animates every thought, feeling, and action. To die is gain means the moment you loosen the grip of the old self and its fears, you enter a higher life where the Christ presence is more fully alive. Death here is a mind shift, a revocation of limitation, a revision of identity in favor of the greater life you already are. The future hope becomes present resurrection when you continuously assume that you are now formed by Christ, that your body, your work, your relationships are expressions of that inner life. In this light, salvation and redemption are ongoing interior transformations, not distant events. Your outer world becomes a faithful echo of your inner Christ-state because imagination is the law and the I AM you awaken to is Christ within.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and revise your sense of self by declaring you are living Christ now; feel the inner presence filling your body and surroundings until it feels real.
