Scripture Focus

15For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.
Obadiah 1:15

Biblical Context

The verse declares that the day of the LORD is near for all; the actions within your own mind determine the rewards or consequences that show up in your life.

Neville's Inner Vision

The 'day of the LORD' is not a distant judgment upon others but the dawning of awareness within your own consciousness. The 'heathen' are the ununified parts of yourself—thoughts and dispositions still at odds with your true aim. Remember the law: as you have acted within, so shall it be manifested outwardly. This is not retribution but a measure of your inner state returning as experience. The good news is you can meet this law by turning inward to the I AM—the steadfast awareness that can choose a different state. When you revise old patterns and assume the feeling of your wish fulfilled, you align your inner atmosphere with your desired life, and the outer world rearranges accordingly. The 'reward' becomes the natural consequence of a renewed consciousness, not punishment imposed from without. Thus the day approaches not to condemn you but to invite your reintegration—your mind becoming the governor of its own reality, shaping the world by the discipline of inner truth.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and consciously assume the state you desire as already present; feel the feelings of the wish fulfilled for a few minutes, and revisit this revised state daily until it becomes your ordinary perception.
