Biblical Context
On the day the tabernacle is reared, a cloud covers it by day and a fire appears by night; this sign of God's presence remains constant, and when the cloud lifts, the Israelites journey to the place where it rests.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of the tabernacle as the living center of your consciousness, a sanctuary you keep ready to meet God. The cloud that covers it by day and the appearance of fire by night are not external phenomena but the inner weather of your awareness: stability by day, inspiration by night. This is how God manifests—within you as the I AM, the steadiness behind all change. When that cloud takes up from the tabernacle, your inner order shifts and your outer life follows, moving toward the place where that cloud abides. The tent of testimony you carry is your inner witness to this truth. Therefore true worship is not ritual alone but fidelity to the inner state that animates all you perceive. You are already that presence; your task is to remain conscious of the I AM and let imagination arrange your circumstances to reflect the cloud's dwelling place.
Practice This Now
Assume: I AM is the tabernacle's inner guardian. Feel the cloud of awareness resting over you by day and the fire of inspiration lighting your night; if you sense the cloud moving, revise the scene so it rests where you want your life to unfold.
