Biblical Context
The passage records the princes bringing offerings on the day the altar was anointed to dedicate it. Each prince is to offer on his day, sealing the altar with their gifts.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here the outer ritual is a sign of an inner covenant. The altar stands for your central sphere of consciousness where all prayers and decisions are offered. The princes symbolize the distinct faculties of your mind—will, judgment, faith, devotion—each with a day to offer and be offered, until the whole self is consecrated to the I AM, the awareness that remains when all forms fall away. When the Lord says, They shall offer, each prince on his day, He invites you to observe the rhythm of your thoughts and feelings and to place them upon the altar of awareness. The act is not a ritual you perform to impress a power apart from you, but a declaration that you are the one who thinks, feels, and chooses; you align every part of yourself with the one Life within. By presenting your qualities as gifts you begin to reinforce in consciousness the reality you desire. The altar is not elsewhere; it is your own mind purified by intention and sustained by faith. Covenant loyalty grows as you maintain this practice daily.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Today, choose one inner faculty and offer its gift to the inner altar before the I AM. Feel it received and let that feeling guide your actions all day.
