Biblical Context
Balaam confesses his error when confronted by the angel. He is told to go with Balak's princes, but to speak only the word the LORD will give.
Neville's Inner Vision
Numbers 22:34-35 appears as a state of consciousness drama. The angel of the LORD blocking Balaam's path is your own awareness standing in the way of any word not born from the I AM. When Balaam says, 'I have sinned,' he confesses a misalignment between his outer impulse and the inner command. The LORD’s instruction is not a ban on action but a law of alignment: 'Go with the men, but only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that thou shalt speak.' Your outer steps may proceed with circumstance—people, doors, opportunities—but the real movement is the speech issued from consciousness. The sin is treating your spoken word as a product of ego or appetite; the healing is to revise until your next utterance is the Word that arises from the inner decree. As you internalize that your state of consciousness is the source of all appearance, you discover a seamless flow: the journey with others becomes the vehicle by which the inner Word is spoken and realized. So hold to the truth that you are the I AM behind every step, and let the Word you utter be identical with that inner Word.
