Numbers 20:13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Numbers 20 in context

Scripture Focus

13This is the water of Meribah; because the children of Israel strove with the LORD, and he was sanctified in them.
Numbers 20:13

Biblical Context

It speaks of the water of Meribah, a moment when Israel contended with the LORD. In that encounter, the LORD is made holy in their midst.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the inner theatre of consciousness, Meribah is the moment your thoughts dispute the I AM. The water represents the living stream of awareness, flowing through every segment of your mind. When you resist the LORD, you experience a scramble of demands; yet the term sanctified in them signals that God is not distant but realized as the I AM within you as you stand in that moment. The call is not to deny conflict but to transmute it by aligning with the one Power that underwrites all. See the sense of separation dissolve as you choose to step into obedience not to external command, but to the inward state that already is whole. When you revise your response and affirm, I and the LORD are one, the inner water becomes life and you sanctify the space of your consciousness. Your present experience can become a demonstration of God in you here and now.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and revise the memory: I am the LORD my God here; there is no other. Feel the water of Meribah as the life in your awareness and rest in the state that God is sanctified in you.
