Biblical Context
Aaron is told he will have no land inheritance; instead, God is his portion and inheritance among Israel.
Neville's Inner Vision
This line does not threaten the priest’s livelihood; it liberates the priest from external possessions. In Neville's language, the land and title are images of status, but the true security and wealth are found in the I AM that dwells in you. The verse insists that God is your portion, your inheritance among the people; thus, your consciousness is the only estate worth tending. When you realize that I AM is your supply, you stop chasing lands outside and begin tending the inner vineyard of awareness. The 'Aaron' within you is the priest of your own heart, not a man with a certificate of land; his covenant is loyalty to the divine Presence. Providence ceases to be a distant promise and becomes the steady weather of your mind. Your vocation is not earned from the earth but arises from the alignment of your inner state with the one Presence. So long as you claim God as your portion, your external lot becomes a natural theatre for the manifestation of your inner reality.
Practice This Now
Assume the state: I am God’s inheritance now; feel the I AM as the inner land that sustains you. If lack arises, revise by affirming 'My I AM is my sufficient inheritance' until fullness is felt.
