Neville's Inner Vision
Within Numbers 17:4, the invitation is not to travel to a distant shrine but to guard the inner sanctuary. The tabernacle stands for your state of consciousness; the 'congregation' is your unified attention; the 'testimony' is the unchanging truth of your being. By laying the covenant signs up in that inner chamber before the testimony, you are rehearsing your allegiance to the inner law—the I AM that never wavers. When you meet there, the Presence reveals itself as your own awareness, not as an external deity, but as the living sense of I AM in action. The outer symbols and commandments become meaningful only as vehicles that remind you of your true identity. True worship, then, is the discipline of aligning thought, feeling, and image with the inner truth that you are already loved, already whole, and already in covenant with God. As you stand in that conviction, revelation flows and you perceive the meeting place within.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes, place a covenant sign on the inner altar of your heart, and affirm 'I AM meeting You now.' Dwell there until the Presence feels real.
