Inner Timing, Outer Mission

Nehemiah 2:6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Nehemiah 2 in context

Scripture Focus

6And the king said unto me, (the queen also sitting by him,) For how long shall thy journey be? and when wilt thou return? So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time.
Nehemiah 2:6

Biblical Context

The king questions the duration; Nehemiah commits to a return date and is sent. This mirrors inner life: set a definite time for your mission, and your I AM grants passage.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice how the outer king and queen signify the world of appearances, asking for the duration of a project. In consciousness, the inner I AM is the king, and your inner witness is the queen. When Nehemiah answers with a set time, he is showing the true Neville law: a definite assumption, clearly stated, becomes a realized fact. The king’s consent to send him corresponds to your inner assent when you declare the return date for your aim. The phrase I set him a time is the act of fixing a deadline in imagination; it is not a petition but a decree. Therefore, the journey you undertake in your mind is already approved by the governing power of awareness, with Providence ready to align circumstances to fit the script of your inner decree. The discernment you seek arises as you watch doubts dissolve and opportunities appear in sequence, guided by the I AM. Trust that your mission is not hurried but arrived through patient, precise inner law; you simply must declare the time and move as if the work is complete.

Practice This Now

Practice: Choose a project, set a definite return date in your mind, and feel the completion already accomplished. Then revise any lingering doubt by restating the time and feeling the I AM approving.
