Inner Mountain of Peace
Micah 4:1-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Micah 4 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage envisions God's house rising as the highest place, drawing all nations to learn His ways; war ends and people rest in abundant peace.
Neville's Inner Vision
All is within; the 'last days' mark the moment your awareness lifts. The mountain of the house of the LORD is the heightened I AM within you, exalted above every lesser state. The 'nations' are the many facets of your mind; when you flow to this inner mountain, you invite the Inner Teacher to teach you His ways and you choose to walk in those paths. The 'law shall go forth of Zion' becomes a living principle in your imagination—the law is your discipline of thoughts and feelings; through imagination you are governed by it. He shall judge among many people and beat swords into plowshares; this is the transmutation of conflict into productive energy when you refuse to identify with fear. They shall sit under their vine and fig tree; inner safety and abundance arise as you rest in God and reject the anxiety of external threats. All people may walk after their own god, but you walk in the NAME of the LORD your God forever by choosing your I AM as ruler of experience.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and assume you are already standing on the inner mountain of the LORD; feel the calm teaching flow through you and any fear dissolving. Then revise any lingering sense of lack by affirming, 'The law goes forth from Zion in me now, and I rest in God.'
