Inner Power and Judgment

Micah 3:8-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Micah 3 in context

Scripture Focus

8But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
9Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity.
10They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
11The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.
12Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.
Micah 3:8-12

Biblical Context

The prophet Micah exposes corrupt leaders who twist judgment for money, declaring that true power comes from the Spirit to expose sins; Zion and Jerusalem are judged as a consequence.

Neville's Inner Vision

Tonight you are invited to see Micah's words as a map of your inner state. The power, judgment, and might spoken by the prophet are not external forces but the Spirit of the LORD within your I AM. The 'heads' and 'princes' who 'abhor judgment' and 'pervert all equity' are your beliefs that security comes from status, wealth, or reward. When you identify with those states, you lean on outward appearances and you mutter, 'Is not the LORD among us?' But the moment you realize you are the Spirit that speaks now, you begin to shift the scene. Zion becomes soil to be plowed by consciousness, and Jerusalem becomes heaps to be cleared so true foundations can rise. The inner court no longer trembles at judgment; it uses judgment to purify motive and align with righteousness. As you rest in the awareness that the LORD is within you, external upheaval loosens, fear dissolves, and the sense of justice stands firm in your mind as your lived reality.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly and declare, 'I am full of power by the Spirit of the LORD, and I judge in righteousness from within.' Then revise any sense of lack by picturing Zion plowed as soil in your inner field, making space for truth to grow.
